Welcome to my site, here you will find my directing portfolio, selected acting photos, my teaching philosophy as well as my CV.

 

I am a professional artist of the theatre whose career spans three decades and currently serve as an Associate Professor of Theatre at Eastern Kentucky University where I am the Director of Musical Theatre and the Director of the Appalachian Shakespeare Center at EKU. I teach Acting, Shakespeare, Puppetry, Voice and Movement for the Actor, Acting for Musical Theatre, Introduction to Theatre, and Comedy. Since moving back to Central Kentucky (having finished up my MFA in Theatre Pedagogy at Virginia Commonwealth University) I have directed, acted, taught, and/or designed for AppShakes, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, EKU, UK, Blackbird Dance Theatre, The Woodford Theatre, Eastern Standard, Centre College, Lexington Summerfest, Asbury University, GEARUP Academy, and The Academy for Creative Excellence.

A very proud father of two (friend me on Facebook to see pics!) and doting husband, I served as the Associate Artistic Director for Cincinnati Shakespeare Company for several years where I was in the resident company for nine seasons. I am a member of AEA, SDC, UNIMA-USA and was a resident Puppeteer at the Center for Puppetry Arts for four seasons.  I am also an award winning playwright with thirteen produced scripts, as well as an experienced designer of sets sounds and puppets. I aslo a grate spellar.
